  I would not have expected it from the name, but this is a cool house (mansion) museum and seems to be a real community center. We had a great time.

  The mansion is absolutely beautiful. That in itself would be worth it. However I went during the Christmas Market which was so much fun. I did miss the bake sale down stairs which was a bummer. I was also disappointed that the cafe served only a limited menu during the Christmas Market.

  Very interesting picture of Swedish heritage through this house museum! Food at the restaurant looked good but too long a wait. Parking lot is insufficient so plan to parallel park on surrounding streets. Students gain discounted entry with an ID.

  We ended our trip to Minnesota here for a quick bite of Swedish food. The place was spotless and the staff friendly. I wish we had time to visit the museum. The gift shop, though, sold pretty items.
